About the Hats

All of my hats are made from 200 weight polar fleece from Malden Mills. It is top quality fleece that does not pill with age. These hats are all individually cut by hand. The embellishments on the hats are all sewn on by hand, or are in the form of a vintage pin. You will find nothing glued on.

Most of the pieces on my hats are vintage pieces. I am constantly haunting yard sales, rummage sales, flea markets and more recently Ebay in a never-ending search for "glitz"! I use whatever I stumble across to jazz up the hats, sometimes more contemporary items, but I am drawn to vintage and rhinestone jewelry.

In an effort to keep each hat unique I collect a variety of "stuff". My sewing room is bristling with feathers, fur pieces, woven braids, fringe, buttons, tassels and shiny things. The basic hat structure has stayed the same but the embellishments are always changing. I may make several similar hats but for the most part they are one of a kind. I have a lot more hats so if you don't see something you like on these pages email me with specific colors and I can send photos. I also do custom hats if you'd like something special.
